Sciatica Relief — In-Home PT in Orange County

Sciatica isn't a diagnosis — it's a symptom. Dr. Vu finds the actual driver (disc, joint, nerve mobility, muscle entrapment) and treats it with a targeted plan at your home, no clinic commute required.

    What Your Plan Looks Like

    Weeks 1–2

    Calm the Nerve

Directional preference loading, positional relief, nerve gliding, walking program, sleep posture coaching.

    Weeks 2–6

    Restore Motion

Hip and lumbar mobility, deep core re-education, progressive sitting and lifting tolerance.

    Weeks 6+

    Build Resilience

Strength, hinge mechanics, return to running/hiking/work — built to prevent recurrence.

    In-Home Care for Sciatica

We start with a thorough movement assessment to identify the source. Treatment combines directional preference exercises (often McKenzie-style), nerve gliding, manual therapy, hip mobility, and graded loading. Most patients see meaningful relief within 2–4 weeks.

    • Movement-based diagnostic assessment
    • Directional preference exercise prescription
    • Nerve gliding (sciatic flossing)
    • Manual therapy: lumbar and SI joint mobilization
    • Hip mobility and glute strengthening
    • Progressive lifting and posture coaching

    Common Questions

    Will rest fix my sciatica?

Rarely. The right movement almost always helps more than rest — the trick is identifying which direction is right for your case.

    Do I need an MRI?

Not always. Most sciatica responds to PT without imaging. We refer for MRI if you have progressive weakness, bowel/bladder changes, or no response after 4–6 weeks.

    Can sciatica be cured?

For most people, yes — with the right plan and consistency. Recurrence is usually prevented by the strength and habits you build during rehab.
